I love the way the dishes are made using accessible ingredients like some celebrity cookbooks are filled with ingredients that are difficult or expensive to obtain. The ingredients list is a bit extended – it 's not a book to be used every day – but most of them are things that are at least readily available. Too many cookbooks call for things like roasted goblin eyes or tense ocelot dreams.

This book won 't make a three-starred chef, cook, and cooking for friends monism is a bit unfair, since there ' s no reason why these dishes are made exclusively for large groups, they can be made for any amount of people. But it does feature some really nice meals to make, which is the purpose of a book like this. You 'll simply to assume that what comes out of the oven the way it ' s meant to look. "

"I bought a signed copy of an independent seller on Amazon, and I was very excited to receive it. So far I have made the Shepherd 's Pie with Branston Pickle, and the lamb and prunes casserole and both were superb. I can not wait for some more recipes to try, because I'm sure they are as well. "There seems to have been a shift in the style of the chef Ramsay cook books recently, since the launch of 3 * chief cook, he moved back to more basic home cooking. And for all thats a good home cooks Keem case. Although hos previous books were beautiful to watch and filled with wonderful recipes, they were expensive and time-consuming.

Cooking with friends is a real back to basics, quality cookbook, to have one by the stove the whole time.

As usual, well presented with many pictures, hints & tips from the great man and a pretty good number dishes too. It 's the kind of food you want to cook on a regular basis things like chicken pie, broccoli soup, blue cheese, cakes, etc. Real quality home cooking eat. The book is well laid out by chapters on:

1. Hot & Cold Soups – Inc Roast Chestnut, parsnip and Apple, Cheddar & cauliflower curry, oxtail, chilled cucumber

2. Grains & Pasta – linguine with lemon & basil feta, kedgeree, goat cheese and beetroot salad lentils

3. Fish & Seafood – Fish curry, red snapper, mackerel Devilled

4. Meat & Poultry – rabbit stew, honey roasted ham, white port & Duck cherries,

Pies & tarts (my favorite bit!) – Raised Game Pie, Chicken pie, smoked salmon and horseradish cream tarts

5. Vegies & salads

6. Pudding – Apple pie, lemon meringue, Trifle

coffee & chocs – Chock dark cake, choc & coffee pots

A great book that will test your bank happy to take a very long time "

"I'm not usually impressed by Gordon 's" hastily "he" high-energy "approach to cooking.
