How To Make A Pork Tenderloin Asian Style

Pork tenderloin has become known as the “other white meat”. Lean and nutritious, it is easy to prepare and very tasty. This recipe for a Pork Tenderloin Asian Style is perfect for a dinner party or a family meal. This recipe is quick and easy. The tenderloin needs to marinate from 30 minutes to overnight. Perfect for preparing ahead as you can marinate overnight. Also perfect when needed more quickly as marinating and baking can be done in around an hour. Along with the pork are some unique vegetables, red onion, red bell pepper, and zucchini, which are baked and served with the tenderloin. Easy and delicious!

PORK TENDERLOIN ASIAN STYLE

1/2 cup bottled garlic ginger marinade

1/4 cup sliced green onion

1 (approx. 1 lb) pork tenderloin

1 tbsp olive oil

1 red onion, cut into chunks

1 medium red bell pepper, cut up into 1″ pieces

1 medium zucchini, sliced

Pour the marinade and the green onion slices into a gallon-sized zip-top plastic bag. Add the pork tenderloin and seal bag. Turn the bag so the tenderloin is evenly coated with marinade. Place the bag in a pan and refrigerate at least 30 minutes or overnight.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Combine the red onion, olive oil, bell pepper, and zucchini in a mixing bowl; toss to coat evenly. Place vegetables in a roasting pan and place the marinated pork atop the vegetables. Be sure to discard the marinade. Bake 25 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from oven and loosely cover with aluminum foil. Allow to stand for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing. Place meat on serving platter surrounded by the vegetables.

Enjoy!

Why Pork is not Bad Foods for Your Diet

Pork, a surprisingly healthy meat

In the last twenty years or so, the type of diet counseling that was given to the TV and newspapers always stressed the importance of cutting pork when trying to shed pounds, or even an attempt to stay in good health.

Luckily for those of us who, like pork, if you download the most current medical certificates, the press reports were wrong.

So why were the medical experts that opinion?

Probably the most common problem with the negative reports about pork, which is actually identifying the worst cuts and cooking methods, and giving advice, as if all sorts of pork are the same.

It is clear that fat bacon, fried in lard, is not very likely healthy to eat as part of your normal diet, and it is very clear that certain meat products that are less heart-healthy than the leaner cuts, but this applies to other types meat too.

The fact is, pork is often categorized as a white meat, and, when cooked in the same way, has overtaken white meat chicken as the healthiest you can buy. A Ministry of Agriculture report found that a 85 gram serving size of beef 0.105 oz (2.98 g) of fat, and that the same portion of skinless chicken breast has composed of 3.03 grams of fat. So clearly, pork can be healthy, and as the university research shows, pork is a major supplier of protein and vitamins, along with less fat than chicken.

If we have some of the damaging statements, we can easily see that the majority of them depend on guidance that is just outdated and irrelevant.

If we compare the typical pig in the seventies with the pig equivalent of today, we see some significant improvements. It was in the year 1980 and 1990 that pig breeders realized that they needed to achieve a better pig for their consumer needs. Low fat pigs resulted in a better price, The industry had an incentive to provide pigs with less fat. Farmers now produce pigs by implementing scientific breeding and food controls, and so the fat pigs that the warnings have made is no longer a problem.

Today, six of the most popular pieces of pork are 16% less fat and contain 27% less of the bad saturated fat compared with pork from 25 years ago.

I think it's time for pork to make a comeback, so we take a look at some tips on how to get the best pork.

Of course, if heart-healthy cooking is important to you, it's much better to use as small an amount of fat as possible prepare the pork. Roasting is good if you allow the fat to drain away, but grilling or stir-frying is better. If you fancy a change, try marinating with a good vinegar, low-fat salad dressing or lemon juice instead of oil based marinades. Improve pork using herbs as a substitute for salt to taste to lift and the total sodium content to a minimum.

Roast Pork

If you cook pork roast, you get top quality shoulder, loin and leg of pork. Most fat in the joint of pork can be taken out before it goes into the oven or you can have some fat, so it bastes the meat while grilling. Should you choose to leave the fat, then rest the meat on a wire rack in the baking tray so that the fat drains away.

Leaving the skin on a joint of pork may well help keep the joint dry out while roasting, but it's really not a good idea to eat too much of a good pork crackling that is made because The dangerously high in saturated fat (it can take up to 45% saturated fat!). Especially the pork skin off if you do not roast the meat, otherwise the grease will end in your meal, which is clearly unhealthy. It is up to you to decide whether a joint bone or bone-to-use and add a delicious filling. When working out exactly how much pork is a person necessary, leave approx. 120g per meal if the joint has the bone removed, or 290g per meal when the bone is left in.

Pork Chops

If chops are always on the menu, try to find a low fat, and cut the fat off before they hit your plate. If you remove the fat, the pork chops on your plate will contain somewhere around 7.9g of fat, that's not too bad at all actually.

If you're in idiot or loin chops, then cook them on a grill is the best, but baking pan in a little oil is not too bad. Well sure, the chops are low fat and can quickly dry a bit, so it's a good idea to cover with a glaze or baste the chops during cooking, or use a moist cooking method such as braising.

Pork

There is a clue in the name, pork tenderloin is quite soft and low in fat. The is surprisingly versatile and can be cooked in many styles from the oven to roast kebabs.

How do you cook a pork tenderloin?

I have 2 pork tenderloins, boneless. Both weigh about 2.5 pounds. How long and at what temperature should I cook and I cook pan. Turn them to brown all sides. Then move the pan in a preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes to finish cooking. Unless the pork unusually large, I can fit two in a 12-inch skillet. You can tie the back of the tongue (where the thinner tenderloin) over the rest of the roast to an even thickness to get the whole roast. I generally tie back on the thinnest 3-4 inches and can prevent the thin part is done. You can safely cook with kitchen twine to tie it back I like butterflies and grill them them whole with a herb rub. You can also cut into medallions and cook stove and serve with sauce.
