Cooking Philippines Food

How much money do I need if I want to stay in the Philippines for 3 months?
I wanted a very simple lifestyle Philippines live in and I was not intend to buy something special, while I'm there and I lower my costs I went to my own food to cook. I was told I could get an apartment there for below P10, 000 per month. My question is how much money (USD) I need to stay in the Philippines for 3 months?
I was there from mid November last year to end January this year. I won 110,000 pesos all in all. I think it was $ 2400, but I rented two rooms in a guesthouse (3100 pesos per month for electricity and water included). This money is also maintaining my wife, her sister and my son. The birth of my son in a private hospital and medicine for my mother. So $ 3000 would easily get through the three months if you live a simple lifestyle.
Sharing Cultures With Rotary International Kim Robinson sent to the Philippines in April, she learned to love people and the food.
