Pressed for time or don't have enough time to transform your house for holidays? No need to worry. Here are a few special touches that will add that festive touch to your home in a minimal amount of time.

Light up your porch or entryway area! There are many elegant and beautiful outdoor lighting displays. Go with something simple, such as lit topiaries. You can even get them already placed in a decorative and festive holder as well.

As guests come into your home, make them feel that they have just arrived at holiday heaven, by bringing out freshly baked goods from your oven. There is nothing better than delicious baked cookies that have just finished baking. The aroma is so comforting and makes everyone get into that holiday spirit!

Keep that warm and festive vibe going in your home, by lighting up your fireplace! If you are fortunate enough to have a fireplace, this is the time to showcase it and light it up. The soft flames will give off a wonderful and comforting glow. To bring even more attention to your stunning fire place, be sure to decorate the mantel itself as well. Perhaps hang your stockings, ornaments or even holiday cards you may receive from family and friends through out the season. If you have photos from holidays over the last few years, or even special family holiday photos, showcase them by placing them in similar frames and stagger them along your fireplace mantel.

Most of us do hang beautiful and festive ornaments from our Christmas tree. But did you know that ornaments could actually be hung all over your home so that you could carry that festive look into every room? You could elegantly hang bold decorative ornaments with thick pieces of silk ribbon from anywhere in your home. Try attaching silk ribbon, or other sparkly holiday ribbon to the ornament you wish to hang. Then take a look around your home and see where the ornaments could be hung from. You'd be surprised at the spots with these ornaments could be hung from. Think foyer way chandeliers, lighting fixtures over a kitchen or dining room table, even from curtain rods.

As you can see with just a few special touches, you can get your whole house holiday ready in no time! And if you need that finishing touch to any room, place a beautiful poinsettia as an added decoration or even place it on any table for an instant centerpiece!
